Why Love, guts, and really good cake?

“Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.” – Maya Angelou

There are so many ways to love and show love. I think we can all agree it takes patience, empathy, and very often bravery. In other words, it takes guts!

And well… who doesn’t love really good cake!

What is your website about?

In our current climate I am compelled  to do my best to share information and ideas that may not be readily available or accessible to everyone. I am by no means an expert and do not intend to portray myself as one. However, I do have opinions and beliefs that I want to share here and writing is a creative outlet for me.

I want to highlight, in the articles and video of the week section, work that I believe is powerful and transformational.

I want to feature organizations who are in the trenches, doing the work to support vulnerable and oppressed people in our communities. Organizations in our communities who support compassion and social justice.

I would love to hear your ideas and learn from you! You can reach me at liz.nickley@gmail.com
